If you think plus size designer Monif Clarke a.k.a. Monif C. puts out your run of the mill swimsuits, then you’re sadly mistaken.
Each year, Monif C. releases the mother of all swimwear collections. They’re more than just your typical black one-pieces or printed 2-pieces. There’s an art to what this New York based designer does and those exquisite pieces of art are what has kept her in high demand for over 10 years.
It may be February, but it’s never too early to start looking at swimwear and cover-ups as you plan your summer getaways. Not only is shopping for summer apparel the perfect mental escape from the cold, but nothing says preparation like buying your must-have poolside items before they’re no longer in stock.
Since this month is synonymous with love, why not show yourself a little love and invest in a swimsuit from the 2017 Sea by Monif C. collection. Not sure which items to invest in? Allow me to be of assistance.
There aren’t any rules to wearing a swimsuit. Who says they have to be tanks or strapless?
The “Marina” swim top is perfect for the diva who doesn’t feel like showing off her arms. It features sexy mesh Raglan sleeves, shelf bra construction for support (because we all need some support) and elastic banding. Mix and match this top with swimsuit bottoms or wear it as a top. Either way, you can’t lose.
Like I said previously, Monif C. doesn’t just create your typical one-piece swimsuits. Instead she dares you to step outside of your comfort zone in bold swimwear like the Bali bandage suit. Sure, it’s a twist on the classic one-piece but this is far from anything typical.
This is the only cover-up you need!
Your poolside look isn’t complete without our favorite accessory; the coverup. Between the beautiful print and the multi-functional design, the Santorini coverup is exactly what you need as you build your summer wardrobe. Wear it over your swimsuits as a coverup or over rompers, jeans and dresses as a duster. Whatever you do, just wear it!
Now you’re well on your way to summer fierceness.
