It’s been over a year since Limarie Lewis was featured on our Curvy Confidence cover. We’re so proud to report that the she has since had a ton of  success! Here’s what she’s up to now.

Limarie – NOW

After Curvy Confidence I was signed to True Model Management and was blessed to do some work with Sean Anthony Designs and was also featured in Pose Magazine. A few highlights for me last year was getting a dress named after me, the “Limarie”by designer Qristyl Frazier, starting Live-2-Empower with my partner Yve Edmond and also performing poetry at Fresh Visions Youth Theatre.

2014 was a year of building and tearing down for me, mind body and soul. I had to let go of a lot of things that I loved to focus on my health and overall wellness, one of those things was modeling. As I focused more on my poetry, I was invited to share a little of my testimony with Ashley PoetikHis from Center Stage Radio on Look Up Radio which really blessed me. I shared a little about how God healed me from a brain tumor and also how I learned to release the bitterness, the spirit of rejection and depression of struggling with the emotional roller coaster of infertility. The best part about getting the courage to speak so openly about depression and infertility and healing was that I actually felt God blessing me right there in the midst of the interview and as the tears flowed I gained even more strength.

Soon after many different women were texting me or emailing me their story and they told me that I actually had helped them to have more hope and gave them a voice; this was confirmation for me that I was on the right track. During the more challenging portion of the year for me I did a lot of emotional eating and decided to work more internally and look to God and within to better myself and began writing more and expressing myself more creatively. I am now at a very good place in my heart but am working towards becoming healthier and losing weight. I am now on a lifelong #mindbodyandsoulfitness journey and taking steps to become my best self and started a new blog to help me where I share my journey but also look to share YOURS!
