I’m constantly looking for plus size fashion inspiration but as a size 24 diva, that inspiration is hard to come by at times. I appreciate what some of my smaller plus size sisters set out to do, but my body isn’t shaped like theirs, so at times I feel left out.
For example. While I love the look of body conscious dresses, when you’re on the larger end of plus, you may not be comfortable in a body con dress. If you’re a size 24+ and your curves are proportioned in a way that makes it work, then I say go for it, but if not, you have other options.
Earlier this year plus size blogger Rebecca compiled a who’s who list of plus size bloggers over a size 24 on her website, The Plus Side Of Me. Rebecca introduced us to 20 plus size women, all with completely different styles.
Of the women featured, 5 of them really appealed to my individual style senses. Here are 5 plus size bloggers who wear a size 24+ and inspire me to show off my curves.
I love how Naomi of Diamonds ‘n’ Pearls not only embraces her curves, but she’s feminine while doing so. I’m a sucker for lace and maxi dresses and this girl manages to pull off both with ease.
Anyone who doesn’t think plus size women can wear belts, obviously has not seen Neiiko of Le Blog de Neiiko yet. I love how this plus size beauty pulls her looks together. In every image on her website, she looks polished.
Lately, I’ve shied away from pants but thanks to La Chica Mas Fina of The Big Girls Code, I may start wearing pants again. I love how she mixes things up. You may see her in colorful pants, prints or curve hugging silhouettes. With this blogger, it’s all about variety.
I’m starting to embrace the idea of layering and wearing blazers with my dresses. For years, I stayed away from wearing blazers, but Coco of Coco Curvy does it and she makes it look so good.
I met Rebecca at Full Figured Fashion Week in June and her pictures don’t do her justice. This girl has style. Rebecca of Plus Side Of Me has the type of style that I wish I had. She knows how to dress her curves and she inspires me to try a few new things.
All of these women are unique in the way that they fashionably express themselves. There are so many plus size bloggers who inspire us all for various reasons. The women that I’ve mentioned today look like I do and they wear things that I can see myself in.
