On the September 2013 cover of O Magazine, Oprah Winfrey is joined by a  sexy and voluptuous afro created by Kim Kimble and we love it!  The tagline on the cover is appropriately titled, “Let’s Talk About Hair”, and that’s exactly what she does.

According to Oprah’s hairstylist Andre Walker, she’s been having fun with natural styles lately so wearing  a 3.5 lb. wig makes perfect sense.

In a video to promote the September hair issue Oprah shared her thoughts on hair and what hair means to women.  ”Women, we have issues with our hair,” she said. “[Women's] hair represents the first thing anyone sees of them, or of ourselves, and so we identify with what our hair looks like.” She continues, ”This issue is all about long, short, thick, thin, weaves, not, wigs…how to handle your hair.”

Join the conversation and share your thoughts on hair.  Is this something that we need to discuss?
