If you read my last installation on X-Two a few weeks ago where I waxed ecstatic on having discovered this new line launching in the United States from the Netherlands, you witnessed how this collection delivers on all fronts – edgy style, variety, comfort and affordable price. Mark my words, X-Two has the greatest potential I’ve ever seen to be the real wardrobe WOW factor in every full figured fashionista’s closet. Buur Fashion is the creative force behind the collections of Yest and X-two. Yest is aimed at the modern, stylish woman, with tasteful designs in missy sizes 4-14 and X-two doesn’t “dumb it down” specializing in plus-size clothing (0X to 5X) for the self-assured and fashion-conscious woman. Buur Fashion manages the entire process in-house, from design to finished product. Because of the short supply chain, they are thus able to maintain a consistently high quality. X-two is already available in more than a thousand stores in Europe.
And as if the last winter collection called Winter 2,(which drops in the stores in August 15th), wasn’t impressive enough, this was even more jaw dropping. The showroom rep, Eddie Penn from Penn Centrall, graciously agreed to allowing my special size image class from FIT to drop by and view the entire line. Imagine my shock when he lined up the garments in groups from a whole new collection called Winter 3! Yes, that’s how this company keeps it comin’….I was blown away once again and continue to be mucho impressed with what X-Two is turning out. We saw all the pieces in each grouping, presented just as the buyers would see it in its entirety during their editing and decision making process. It’s hard to imagine, but this actually outdid the last visit where I was jumping out of my skin with delight. The new Winter 3 collection is even more spot-on if that’s possible! Talk about the way women want to dress!! What thrills me is X-Two’s incredible attention to detail, the modern fabrications and the mix and match capability that allows for seemingly infinite possibilities in individual expression. To me, this collection is ageless. Young women will love its “on par” look which allows them to dress in the latest trends and the older customer will love embracing the modern, fresh appeal that comes with adding a few hot power pieces into their everyday repertoire of reliables. One of my favorite books is “How Not to Look Old” and one of the tips author Charla Krupp gives is to keep following and incorporating the latest silhouettes into one’s existing style. Dressing “young” isn’t about dressing inappropriately at all, rather encouraging the wearer to embrace items that communicate a hip fashion forward attitude and self- confident allure. X-Two is just that kind of line. Even Eddie said his mother who is 73 years old loves some of the styles!!! I love the easy suiting and the related separates which feature interesting textural mixes that are those creative “must haves” that make a woman feel unique and current in her everyday lifestyle.
The Winter 3 collection drops in the stores in October. One of the stores who carries it is in Dallas, Texas called The Bodacious Boutique and I reached out to Paula Guthrie, the owner. What a sweetie!! She says her customers are loving the line. Buur Fashion is planning on a new overhaul of the X-two website and will launch in a few months where we can click through all these amazing looks and order to our heart’s content. For now they have the spring collection up on www.x-two.com, so check out the styles and get to know the look of the line. In the meantime “LIKE” them on Facebook…. https://www.facebook.com/xtwofashion. I am getting you primed for the day when we can have all these looks in our closets. I know it will make my morning dressing routine so much more effortless and easy. I want to put things together in unique ways and love the incredible versatility of all of the garments in this collection. I will keep you posted from my watchful post here in NYC. In the meantime, take a gander at the offerings….all right, you’ve been warned.
Don’t You Just Love X-Two’s 2013 Winter Collection? Stop drooling!!!
