There is no hocus pocus when it comes to Qristyl Frazier’s new fall collection. The magic of Qristyl Frazier Designs’ (QFD) success comes from lots of hard work and preparation. From BET’s “RIP The Runway” to “Project Runway” Season 6, this plus sexy designer has honed her craft well. She is an esteemed graduate of The Workshop at Macy’s “mini retail M.B.A.” program in New York. She landed a coveted deal with plus size retail giant Lane Bryant in an episode of “All On The Line with Joe Zee” Season 2. Qristyl has built a recognizable brand. So, when you see it, you know you’re looking at classic QFD.
Qristyl has conjured up a magical new collection she calls “Elusive.” Here is how the designer describes her inspiration for the collection:
“A Plus Sexy woman is exquisite and confident in her curves. One might assume that her essence lies in every curvy woman and that she is easily obtainable. However, this is not the case. A true Plus Sexy gem, who truly knows her worth, will only be seen in my new Elusive Collection. You see her stunning silhouette approach you, but within a blink she vanishes in a busy crowd. On a random day you bump into her but before you can utter a sound, she is whisked away by the nearest taxi. She is both alluring and inviting yet she escapes you every time. I dare you to catch her…if you can!”
The launch of Qristyl’s new collection was featured from casting call to sizzling hot runway show on NUVO TV’s “Curvy Girls” and I was given exclusive access to it all! If you missed the show, you’ll want to check it out here: http://www.mynuvotv.com/show/about?name=curvygirls&season=1
You may catch a glimpse of me on the show as I snapped a picture of every model and instructed them before they walked for the judges. I felt like I was on America’s Next Top Model with celebrity judges: designer Qristyl Frazier; top plus models Christina Mendez and Liris Crosse; fashion celebrity stylist, Spry Lee Scott; and the NUVO TV film crew.
The episode featured “Curvy Girls” cast member and August cover model LornaLitz as she auditioned for Qristyl’s runway show, as well as the hundreds of models who came for the casting from as far away as Paris, France. Qristyl’s Sizzling Hot Fashion Show was held in Manhattan. The models flaunted their curves on the runway in sexy dresses and jumpsuits from QFD’s new collection. NUVO TV did a fantastic job sharing highlights from the show from the beginning to Qristyl’s finale walk with LornaLitz.
Qristyl also allowed me to be the fashionable fly on the wall at two QFD photo shoots for “Elusive,” where I got to see the magic happening. I watched model muse, Liris Crosse, work her angles in looks that showed off those legs that go on for miles. While QFD newcomer, model Nicole Esperanza Zepeda beautifully shows how QFD designs work for all shapes and curves. Both shoots were styled by the amazing Mr. Spry Lee Scott, Full Figured Fashion Week’s Stylist of the Year. I’ve picked out some of my favorite pieces to show you.
I have a feeling “Elusive” is going to help us all stand out in a crowd. It’s like magic. Qristyl calls it “Qristylization,” the process of allowing oneself to become Plus Sexy via QFD creations! Elusive is on sale now! QFD now offers No Payments and No Interest for up to 6 months to qualified customers too. Visit the website for details.
