Now she’s taking her writing skills away from Facebook and placing them in the palm of your hands. According to Yahoo Finance, Spencer has a deal with Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers for a pair of detective novels for middle school students. Her first book, “Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective: The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit,” will come out next fall.
Like many of us, Octavia Spencer was inspired by mystery series Nancy Drew and Encyclopedia Brown and she wants to inspire kids they way those books inspired her.
