Last week, Lady Gaga showed the world that behind her crazy costumes, extraordinary talent and daring fashion risks, she’s a woman and like many of her fans her weight can fluctuate. While performing in Amsterdam last week, Gaga appeared a little thicker, 25 pound heavier to be exact. Although she’s dieting while on tour, Lady Gaga told radio host Elvis Duran, “I really don’t feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It’s hard because it’s a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don’t like that. So I’m trying to find a new balance.”
Over the weekend she made light of the attention that she’s received because of her weight gain by dressing in this pink and blue fat suit. Gaga isn’t the first celebrity to sport a fat suit in an effort to prove a point.
When Tyra Banks wore a fat suit people were offended even though she was trying to be compassionate and show the world how plus size individuals are treated differently. Is Lady Gaga’s fat suit acceptable because it’s a designer fat suit and because she was picked on first or do you consider the stance to be offensive?
We want to hear from you.
