Kimberley Locke Wants To Be A Judge On American Idol

Kimberley Locke Wants To Be A Judge On American Idol:  Kimberley Locke is putting her bid in to be a judge on American Idol.  The curvy vocalist feels that a former contestant is just what the show needs.  She recently shared her thoughts with the Associated Press, “I would love to sit in that chair and, you know, give some advice from the contestant’s standpoint because I’ve been on that stage and I know what it’s like.”

Her interest in being a judge on the show follows the departure of Steven Tyler & Jennifer Lopez.  Last week, Mariah Carey confirmed she would join the show’s 12th season. Aretha Franklin was also vocal about her interest to be a judge on the show.

Since finishing third (after Ruben Studdard & Clay Aiken) on season 2 of the popular FOX show, Locke has modeled for Lane Bryant, released 2 solo albums, appeared on Celebrity Weight Loss and she graced our January 2012 cover.
