Kathy Bates Receives her 9th and 10th Emmy Award Nomination.

With any industry you have people that everyone looks up to yet they don’t receive nearly enough recognition as they should, Kathy Bates is one of those people.

This year Kathy has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Harriet Korn in NBC’s Harry’s Law. She has also been nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Charlie Harper in CBS’s Two And A Half Men.

Harry’s Law was a WONDERFUL Show that aired for two seasons. On May 11, 2012, NBC announced the series would not be picked up for a third season.

She played the recurring role of “Bettina” in Six Feet Under. She won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for her performance as “Annie Wilkes” in Misery and was “Queen of Hearts” in the Syfy miniseries Alice. She’s appeared in Fried Green Tomatoes, Titanic, Primary Colors, About Schmidt, The Waterboy, The Blind Side, and Midnight in Paris.

Kathy Bates is currently filming The Young and Prodigious Spivet and her film Starbright is in the pre-production stage.

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards air LIVE on ABC Sunday September 23rd at 7pm EST.
