“Sparkle” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. I grew up loving the original so when I received word that the film which was originally released in 1976 would be re-vamped with a new cast, I was ecstatic.
Set for release on August 17, 2012, the re-make includes some very familiar faces such as Tamela Mann and Derek Luke.
Our #JukeboxDiva joint of the day is a song recorded by the two stars of the film; Jordin Sparks & Whitney Houston. The celebratory track is bittersweet because it may be the last original song recorded by Whitney Houston. Houston died on February 11, 2012 but not before leaving her mark on the world as the mother (Emma) in “Sparkle”.
CELEBRATE (From the Motion Picture “Sparkle”)
“Sparkle” will be in theaters on August 17th, Are you going to see it?
