Many of you may remember Whitney Thompson as the curvaceous winner of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10. As the first and only plus size model to walk away with a stamp of approval from Tyra Banks, she has managed to stay in the limelight by building her modeling portfolio and because of her business acumen.
Last year she launched Supermodel, a lifestyle brand featuring scented candles and jewelry. Now this model turned entrepreneur is ready to take on another venture as the president and founder of an online dating site for plus-sized women called The Big and the Beautiful (I love the title).
This site provides a place where people can create honest profiles and caters to confident, sexy women with curves. “I created this site so people don’t have to stress over their profile, but can focus on the fun and excitement of meeting and dating other incredible people of all shapes and sizes”, says Thompson.
Whitney adds, “After winning America’s Next Top Model and the response I received from being plus size, I immediately noticed a void for an honest dating site where real women can celebrate their curves. The women enjoy meeting men who appreciate them, while the men enjoy being with young, fun women who really know how to satisfy them and are eager to please.”
