2011 Soul Train Music Awards: Curvy Looks On & Off The Red Carpet

Last night’s Soul Train Music Awards show was star studded. No music aficionado was left out as Hip Hop, R & B, Soul and Gospel artists gathered under one roof to pay tribute to the legacy of Soul Train, Heavy D., Earth, Wind & Fire, Gladys Knight and several award winners throughout the evening. Through collaborative performances and heartfelt words, the viewing audience saw the music industry come together all in the name of Soul.

Below are some of our Curvy favorites from the 2011 Soul Train Music Awards:

Best R & B/Soul Artist (Female)- Jill Scott

Lalah Hathaway

Cee-Lo Green (Performing)

Legend Award Winner- Gladys Knight

Chrisette Michele (Performing)

Mary Mary

Ashford & Simpson Songwriter Of The Year Award Marsha Ambrosius

Do you think there was too much black and not enough color on the Red Carpet?

All the ladies look lovely! A little color would have been nice to see tho! But Thumbs up to the curvy ladies of SOUL!

  2. Okay I am ROFL over here that you included Cee-Lo on this list . . . wasn’t expecting that! But hey, we gotta show love to our Big Handsome Men :)

  3. Hey CurvyCEO, I went back and forth with putting him on the list but it’s so seldom that we feature men that I thought it was only fair. Plus, his style may be a bit over the top, but he is a performer so he gets a pass. Thanks for visiting the site!
