The best part about fall and winter is footwear (boots in particular). We love wearing boots with dresses, skirts, jeans and leggings…..all in the name of fashion. As a curvy girl, finding boots that will fit our calves can be a bit challenging. We’ve put together four fashionable boot trends that are curve friendly.
The BIKER Boot
Nothing says fall like a comfy sweater.Add some edge to your boot with these buckles for a comfy biker look from Avenue. These wide width ankle boots have adorable buckled detailing and a sweater-like top for a cute and comfy fit.
The WEDGE Boot
What’s not to love about the women’s Naya Quail knee-high boot from The Walking Company. Tanned leather upper with a 3/4 back zipper and an adjustable buckle strap all on a stacked wedge heel.
The RIDING Boot
Crafted in a combination of suede and leather, Lauren by Ralph Lauren’s Sonya riding boots available at Macys convey authentic equestrian styling–right down to the buckle hardware embellishment. They’re a perfect match for the designer brand’s new slim pants.
The RAIN Boot
When it rains, let your personality shine in this Striped Pelican tall boot from Zappos. The classic, waterproof rubber shoe comes in a variety of colors and prints to keep you dry in fashion.

I thought I was at the wrong site for a minute there! Those striped rain boots are awesome.
FYI: The DVD acronym titles are kind of confusing since DVD is a well known acronym for DVDs.
For a minute there I thought you were talking about movies.
What about boots for us girls with bigger calves? I want a pair of riding boots SO bad but they NEVER zip or fit! Does anyone have a place I can find a pair?
I just bought a pair of wedge ankle-ish boots that are lace up. I really like them but I worry as a curvy girl that I look stupid in them. I like the way they look, but I there’s always that fear that I’m wearing something that isn’t right for my shape. Can I, a size 14, pull of a wedge ankle boot (it’s just slightly above the ankle)? If so, what’s the best way to wear it? With skinny tucked in or boot cut over?
