Curvy Style Inspiration: Adele, Queen Latifah and Christina Hendricks

Since 19 (the name of her debut album), we have been a fan of Adele.  Very few singers get the International attention that this U.K. bred singer has garnered.  With each album our infatuation with her grows which recently resulted in her sophomore album 21 breaking Billboard records.

Adele’s style can be described as “simple chic”.  She definitely wears her clothing instead of allowing her clothing to wear her.  Her fashion choices never over power her undeniable amount of talent.

Whether she’s rapping, singing or acting…Queen Latifah dresses the part.  This triple threat turned Cover Girl has successfully mastered the art of re-inventing oneself by most recently tackling the role of Executive Producer of VH1′s new sitcom Single Ladies.

From her early days of wearing medallions to her curve hugging evening gowns, Latifah stays true to who she is and for that she is one of our Style Icons.

Christina Hendricks is solely responsible for putting curves and sexy in the same sentence.  Since being noticed for her role as Joan Holloway in the AMC cable television series Mad Men she has been turning the heads of men and women including being named “Sexiest woman in the world” in 2010.

Often seen on the Red Carpet, we rarely get to see Christina in casual clothing but whether she’s attending award shows or out and about, she exudes a present day Hollywood glam that the vixen in us can appreciate.
