I joined the Venus Diva Community years ago looking for a connection to other women that looked like me, that dealt with the same issues and that I was able to speak freely with. What I found was so much more than that. I found a sisterhood, a connection that opened my eyes to the beauty of my curves.
When I became an Editor for Daily Venus Diva, I was concerned that maybe I would not be able to say what I felt, that my content would have to be tempered like most magazines I had written for in the past. To my delight I was wrong. For the past 2 years Daily Venus Diva has given me a platform in which I could open my heart and share with our readers my passion for the movement and issues that matter most to me.
There are times when I feel it difficult to express what I feel in a way that would be responsible to our readers. I wonder if what I write reaches them. Then I get an email from someone who has pulled an article I wrote months ago saying that it has helped shape their current way of thinking. I too look to our pages for inspiration. Reading articles from the other gifted Editors makes me want to be a better writer.
Although my journey to discovering the full beauty and power of my curves is every evolving, I find comfort in knowing that the DVD family is here waiting to pick me up and wrap their arms around me when my arms sometimes cant reach. You have supported my initiatives without question. I will forever be grateful.
2 years in the new format and thousands of readers later, DVD has become a trusted news source for the Plus Community. I am proud to be on the masthead. I am so in love with you!
