With summer coming to a close and the Fall Solstice rapidly approaching, it’s a great time to shake up a new look. The fall trends are all about boldness. Thick well defined brows, clean foundation and deep daring lips are all the rage. I’ve selected a few of my fall beauty “must haves” that will not only shake up your look but have you looking forward to next season.
This season take your burgundy’s maroons and plums out for a test drive. NARS has rolled out their fall line and the colors are fresh and intense. My beauty “must have” is NARS Montego Bay (Left) and Mascate Pure Matte lipsticks ($25). These colors are lustrous and will add drama and volume to any shape lip. The colors in the NARS Fall 2011 collection can also carry a look. You can pair these shades with very basic eye shadow and a foundation that has a beautiful matte finish, for that daring look.
The eye trends for Fall 2011 are exciting. Cover Girl and Chanel added Shimmer to their precious metals, taking Bronze, Golds, Plums, Khaki and other popular autumn colors to the next level. My Beauty “Must Have” is Chanel’s Illusion D’Ombre eye shadow in Nude ($36) The product not only goes on smooth put gives the lid amazing drama.
We definitely skimp on the full coverage during the hot summer months. However for a perfect fall face with a clear finish MAC Studio Fix Fluid does the trick. The foundation goes on smooth and the SPF 15 protects your face from the lingering remains of the summer elements. Pair with a mineral powder for a beautiful flawless finish.
My favorite fall “Must Have” comes from OPI Nail Lacquer ($8.50). Their fall collection was inspired by a variety of cities and my favorite is the color “Are we there Yet?” This is a perfect polish to transition summer into fall. The crisp vibrant melon has a bit of shimmer which also makes it Pedi friendly. Well, that’s what’s in my autumn beauty bag. Whatever fall trend you follow, remember to have fun with it and give great FACE.
