5 Quick Hairstyles To Beat The Heat

It’s HOT outside and the last thing you want to worry about is what to do with your hair in 100 degree weather.

This article was originally intended to help those with curly hair but in weather like we’re experiencing right now, feel free to try these stylish solutions if you have a different texture of hair.

Power Puff Girl

One of my favorite do’s is two ‘monitos’ or what I like to call the ‘Power Puff Girl’. After washing and detangling my hair with a paddle brush, I brush it back with a soft bristled brush into a low pony. This smooths out my root from curly to wavy/straight. Then I part it down the middle and tie hair elastics around each pony securing it tightly about 2-3 times and midway through I leave a loop and fan out my hair and pin the sides down into two puffy buns. You can do variations of these buns like one at the top left and one at the bottom right, I like to get creative sometimes. The result is so cute and so very quick; throw on some big feathered earrings and you are good to go!

Messy Bun

All you need for this one is a water bottle, gel and a soft bristle brush. Wet hair brush hair smooth to the crown area and loop hair 2-3 times half way through. You can pin flyaways if you like ot leave them out for a relaxed summer look.

Side Fishtail Braid

This is a very popular look this summer and if your hair is not long enough you can always add hair or do smaller side braids at the crown of your head. This is a cute way to keep the hair off of your face in the heat.

Braided Headband

You can find these at your local beauty supply stores for about $4.99 and can even stack them. These headbands are a great way to make your curly and even straight hair look very polished after a wash and go.

Conditioner & Shine Serum Combo

This works wonders for my hair. I like to leave in some of my conditioner and then a quarter sized amount of hair polish. I use this combination to detangle my hair and create frizz-free soft and shiny curls. It works everytime!
