A-listers Madonna, Beyoncé, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Aretha Franklin and many others gathered at Chicago’s United Center on Tuesday to wish Oprah Winfrey farewell as she taped of the final episodes of the much loved Oprah Winfrey show.
13,000 fans packed the center for the taping of two shows that will air May 23 and May 24.
Tom Hanks acted as MC of the tribute. Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith joined Oprah on stage and they did not hesitate to let her know how much she means to them.
With live performances from Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Alicia Keys and Usher, I’m certain Oprah spent the evening crying, smiling, laughing and crying. The final episodes of the Oprah Winfrey show will be bittersweet.
