Frenchie Davis was kicked off of season two of American Idol after risque photos of her surfaced. Although she went on to perform in the hit musical Rent on Broadway, many AI fans wonder if she would’ve lasted and became the season two winner.
Thanks to The Voice Frenchie Davis may get another chance to shine in the national spotlight using her singing abilities. The Voice features four famous musicians as they search for the best voices in America and mentor these singers to become artists. America will decide which singer will be worthy of the grand prize.
Davis auditioned during a Thursday taping of the show by performing Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.” The show’s “coaches” Judges Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton rejected the singer, but Christina Aguilera voted “yes,” putting Davis on her team. On The Voice, judges cannot see the contestants until after they’ve rendered a verdict.
The Voice premieres on April 26.
