From The Editor’s Desk…
Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece. ~Author Unknown
As a child I watched my mom wear many hats. Not only is she a mom but she is also a teacher, preacher, friend, wife, sister, daughter and anything else you can imagine. My mom and so many other women balance their lives like they’re juggling in a circus act, the only difference is that this is no act it’s real life.
We follow in the footsteps of our mothers, grandmothers, aunts and role models. They are the glue that holds everything together so it’s only natural that we would do the same. From the very beginning we are taught to be feminine yet strong, compassionate yet stern while holding our heads up high and facing obstacles without showing fear. We are reared to be phenomenal and phenomenal is what we are.
Until now I didn’t realize how appropriate it is to have Latesha Lipscomb on this month’s cover. In the spirit of Women’s History Month, Latesha embodies what it means to be a woman on the move. Her thirst for life and new experiences are what makes her a force of grace, beauty and intelligence in the many roles she takes on. Latesha is one of many women who makes a living shattering myths on a daily basis.
So this month as we get ready for Spring we are celebrating all women. Sisters, friends, mothers, daughters, wives and you!
Keep Thriving,

Love it!!! this is going to be an amazing month as always!
I am in so like of the editorial. Latesha shows all the plus size woman that beauty, brains and a lot of style is the way to go. Your size should have nothing to do with your life style and if you are comfortable the way you are then you send that vibe to others that make them comfortable with who you are and love it. I am so proud that plus size woman are getting in the industry with a bang and showing we got the stuff, the three B’s: Brains, Beauty and the Body.
