Last year plus size blogging conferences and conventions made headlines as they sparked conversation between plus size bloggers and plus friendly brands. Plus Size London is getting in on the action!!
Plus Size London is the 1st London based UK and Europe fashion blogger meet. Taking place in London on Saturday February 5th this event is inclusive to everyone. Bloggers, supporters, fashion enthusiasts and everyone in between are welcome to attend this inaugural event.
According to Plus London, those attending can expect the following:
10am: Meet at Evans flagship store at Marble Arch, to get our shopping on! Evans are 99% confirmed as sponsors, so it may turn out to be a bit of a morning party where everyone can introduce themselves, etc.
Travel info: Marble Arch station is on the Central Line, and here are the bus numbers that go past the station:

11am: Everyone’s free to hit the shops down Oxford Street. People are free to break off into groups if they wish. Might be kinda hard keeping in a pack of 75 – and people might think we’re protesting!
1:30pm: Reconvene at Hanover Square, just off Regent Street, to get back together, sit on the grass if it isn’t raining, have a chat and make sure no one’s lost.

If you’re meeting us at Hanover Square, the nearest Station is Oxford Circus on the central, bakerloo and victoria lines. Take the H&M exit, which brings you out facing the rest of Oxford St with Regent Street to your left. Turn left into Regent Street, cross the road, and walk up Hanover Street until you come to the square.
2pm: Everyone can head off for lunch. Soho is a hop and a skip away and has approximately a zillion restaurants and food outlets so again, people are free to break off and choose where they want to eat, if they even want to eat at all.
4pm: Well, it’s three hours until the party, so if anyone fancied a costume change, then use this time to head back to your hotels/homes and relax for a bit or get ready. As for me, I’m running over to the party venue to sort everything out and hurridley get changed into a party frock in the loos. HOORAY!
7pm – 10pm: THE PARTY!!! The party is at The Strand Gallery. The venue is courtesy of our wonderful gold sponsors: Yours Clothing, Simply Be and Torrid, with champagne provided by Plus Size Tall. There will also be:
- Canapés (because obviously food is of utmost importance?!)
- The lovely Fade In Fade Out djs
- SS11 collection preview from ASOS Curve (there are also 2 more tbc…)
- Studio photography by Fashion Loves Photos, who can make anyone look like a supermodel
