Ladies, is it just me, or do you wonder if you can truly pull off the red lipstick look? I have seen women look spectacular, and I have seen women look scary! If you are thinking about pulling off the trendy very sexy red lip, I have some pointers that will have you working that “sexy red” like you should.
First things first. When wearing red lipstick all other makeup should be minimal; eye shadow and blush should be light, or you will risk the chance of looking like Bozo (not a good look). There are so many wonderful colors of red to choose from, that if you’re like me, you get overwhelmed with all the hues of red and begin to pick recklessly. Ladies believe it or not, based on the tone of your skin there is a method to choosing the perfect red lipstick.
Olive undertones (more of the pale lighter skin) Neutral, vibrant reds look great on your skin tone.
Warm or golden undertone (sun kissed skin) warmer reds that have a brown or burgundy base to them look best on your skin type.
Cool undertones (rich darker color skin, like me) cherry red looks fabulous.
If you are looking for a cosmetic brand that has a large variety of red shade lipsticks, my recommendation goes to Revlon; they have amazing colors in a huge variety.
See ladies, its not that hard to master the red lip. It all comes done to minimal or light eye shadow and blush, to make the lips the focal point of the look, and matching your skin tone with the right shade. With these tips you are sure to look spectacular in “sexy red”.

I do get a lot of attention and I am married so I don’t wear it often.
