After 25 years on daytime television, Oprah Winfrey has decided to turn her media mogul status up a couple of notches. Instead of bringing “live your best” television to you for an hour each day, she’s decided to make a lasting impact on your life.
Starting January 1st, you can watch experts on a variety of topics give you the same advice that you would receive on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network will be a 24/7 cable network devoted to self-discovery, to connecting you to your best self and to the world.
There are a number of shows launching on OWN between January 1st and Spring 2011 so we’ve picked our five favorites:
Season 25: Oprah Behind The Scenes (premieres Jan. 1st)
For the first and last time, The Oprah Winfrey Show opens its doors to invite viewers behind the scenes for the making of the farewell season. The Master Class (premieres Jan. 2nd)
Master Class offers an unprecedented first-person insight into the brilliant minds of famous people we love, respect and admire. First season masters include Diane Sawyer, Jay-Z, Dr. Maya Angelou, Simon Cowell, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, Lorne Michaels and Oprah herself.
In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman (premieres Jan. 3rd)
Watch as this New York Times best-selling author and a Sirius XM radio host makes house calls to help couples confront their intimacy issues head on. No issue is off limits with Dr. Berman and she isn’t afraid to talk specifics.
The Gayle King Show (premieres Jan. 10th)
Gayle King brings her hit radio show to televisions every weekday on OWN. Gayle’s live talk show will offer her unique perspective on an array of topics ranging from current events and cultural trends to politics and more.
Kidnapped By The Kids (premieres Spring 2011)
In this series, children are empowered to stand up to their overworked parents. It’s good-bye to cell phones and computers, and hello to family time with the kids at the helm. It’s a heart-warming journey that empowers real families to rediscover what family is all about.
