I don’t think society gets it that we don’t care about the word FAT, anymore. Being fat, chunky, with extra rolls in the middle doesn’t take away from our beauty or how sexy we feel.
Confidence is a state of mind, it shows when you have self-love and have found that peace and balance that many ‘skinny’ girls never get to find. We have so many thin friends that go around eating half a bagel for breakfast and then have a chicken salad for dinner and skip lunch. Just so they can stay wearing a size 2 or 4.
I am not trying to ‘fatten’ them up but they can have a snack or two and then work it out somehow. They aren’t even eating enough calories or nutrition to get them through the day. These are really attractive women that do have the ‘so’ called perfect bodies and yet their minds are not healthy.
These thinner and not so confident women are everywhere at the work place, the supermarket, and dating your ex-man. At some point you will have to share a lunch meal with them or maybe it can be during the holidays. You know who they are, the ones that stare at you because you are actually eating the food on your plate and not leaving it there after four spoonfuls. These girls are also very outspoken. She will make a scene if you ask for seconds and while you eat she will be rolling her eyes at you in front of anyone that sticks around to watch.
Don’t be surprised if she decides to put you on a crash diet asap and starts rambling on. She really is not your enemy, she is just trying to help. This is when you smile, giving her your biggest smile and you let her down easy by expressing that you are happy with your life. That you do date, and quite often (Thank you) and you have a huge closet of very sexy fashions for the plus size diva. Make sure you give her eye contact and stand close to her she just might faint with all of the confidence you are smacking her with.
The plus size woman is positive, dedicated and beautiful. The men have caught on to this and that is why so many of them have been chasing our big butts for the longest time.
So the next time you attend an event, walk in nice and slow, you know like in the music videos, with the hair blowing from the fan effect. Don’t think oh I might be the biggest girl here. Think…I am here for a reason, destiny placed me here and I will shine no matter what and no matter who.
Thrive in your CURVES…and spread the word…

You need to write a book!!!!! I was AMUSED at your post!!! You should take what you’ve written and put it in a book!!!
@ Terry,
My dear friend a hundred thanks. This was the response I was looking for when I wrote this.
Because I do love myself and feel positive and I wanted to express that to the reader.
I tell you often but you a pretty cool person and I am so glad to know you.
Sending you some extra curvy hugs!
Olga
LOL LOL I’m blushing, Olga!!! But thanks!!! And that’s a LOVELY picture of you too!!
You are very welcome and thanks for the book idea.
It is something that makes plenty of sense and we need as many plus size friendly books as we can get.
If I do this I dedicate it to you!!
Curvy hugs,
Olga
My in-laws have these women in their family. Over Thanksgiving, one aunt was shocked when I explained to her that I just don’t think another person’s body is anyone else’s business. She really couldn’t process bucking mainstream beliefs – and commonly accepted social pressure – in such an extreme way! I’m sure she’s still chewing on what I said, and I hope the new idea I presented turns out to be good for her.
@Diana I’m not sure if I told you how much you rock while in NYC, but ‘YOU ROCK”!!! I love your comment and your outlook.
@Olga, great post!
