Memorable Moments in Curves…

Can you believe that 2011 is almost here!! I don’t know if this year has gone by fast or we’re just moving slow but ready or not in exactly one month, it will be a new year. The plus size community has seen many highs and a few lows this year but in true DailyVenusDiva.com style, we continue to shine a light on the illuminating highs!

This month we’ve decided to feature some of the most memorable moments/events that affected the plus size community. Two moments that come to mind was seeing two plus size women appointed to serve our country. This year Dr. Regina Bengamin became the 18th Surgeon General and Elena Kagan was sworn in as an Associate Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court. Compiling this list of plus size moments made me proud to be a woman with curves.

Another woman who is proud of her curves is our cover model, Angie Stone. This soulful singer graces our cover and let’s us into her world. Our LifeStyle Editor, Olga Gonzalez-Ramos had an opportunity to speak with Angie about her music career, her new outlook on life and her health. In this feature, Angie look fabulous and shows off a brand new look to accompany her brand new attitude.

Speaking of new attitude! A December issue is not complete without getting you prepared to step into the New Year in style. Three established plus size designers (LaDan’s Closet, Trentacosta and Igigi) are featured this month thanks to our new Features Editor, Cassandra Jones-McBryde.
