Emo hair color is the newest hair craze and women are embracing it. Although Emo hair is based on specific styles, when wearing emo hair color, women place emphasis on vivid and bright hair color. Emo hair color is a matter of personal preference . By choosing the right type of color, you can have a great look that reflects the many colors of your personality.
There used to be a time when colored tresses were reserved for certain types of women but not anymore. In the past, you would be talked about and rediculed for expressing that kind of individuality. Personally, I like the change.
The right hair color can really set off your outfit! It is definately a way to keep the color game classy and not go overboard. It’s time for us to take back the power and kill the negative stigma. Don’t be afraid to give theses colorful yet beautiful hues a try. Let’s start a revolution…
What’s your opinion on this?

While the artist in me loves self-expression and vibrant haircolors, ESPECIALLY red; I find that dying your hair to keep and maintain these colors or any color can be very damaging. Some great alternatives to this would be extensions, wigs or bold hair color pieces found at local beauty stores that you can clip in. It’s more versatile and less damaging!
I recently went back to black hair from medium auburn and though I loved loved loved the red, it was alot to maintain and a lot to try to get it where I wanted it without damage…so I decided if I wanted a change I would just use one of the options listed above..I love hair and anything to change it up so who knows maybe my next shoot will include something diff with the hair
While I agree that extensions, wigs, color pieces are alternatives and that repeatedly dying hair can be damaging in cases, it must be said that this isn’t true in ALL cases. I’ve dyed my hair monthly since I was a teenager. I’m 26 now and have healthy, shiny hair. I’ve also dyed it other colors with my current favorite being red or purple. Those that want colorful hair can use Manic Panic (or other brands of dye) to color their hair with no damage. MP is vegetable dye in a VERY wide variety of colors. Since it’s natural it’s safe for all hair types. The results vary according to your hair type. If you use it over your natural color it’s subtle or you can use their whitening kit first for vivid color. As for hair dye, I’ve had great results from Loreal’s Feria, but not from others which tend to dry. Some tips to minimize damage: Wash your hair and wait a day (with no styling products) before coloring. This way there are some natural oils to help protect your scalp which affects hair health. Cut hair AFTER coloring not before so excess color and chemical isn’t absorbed in the tips. Keep hair trimmed every 6 weeks or less. Use leave in spray like John Freida’s Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment daily. Repair damaged hair with Dove’s damage therapy intensive repair. Rest your hair on off days with no chemical or styling. Wash occasionally with Mane & Tail to encourage growth (grew mine fast!). Don’t brush too hard or pull at tangles. Soak in conditioner and finger out. Sorry if TMI, just have always loved to play with my hair and hoped someone could benefit from my tips!
