IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel http://www.igigi.com, a premiere American designer brand of contemporary plus-size collections with a mission to transform the world’s view of beauty today launches a powerful visual campaign; “I Am Beautiful!” starring the new face of plus-size fashion, Rosie Mercado, and directed by world-renown fashion photographer and film maker, Marc de Paola.
“I Am Beautiful!” showcases the raw emotional journey of a traditionally disregarded, in fashion and overall in life, size 26 woman discovering her authentic beauty with-in herself and her powerful and moving declaration; “I Am Beautiful!”. It reaffirms IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel’s stance that beauty is not a matter of a dress size, scale number, age, height or anything else that are held so important in our society, but a matter of an attitude, poise, self-confidence, a positive mind-set and most importantly being in harmony with one’s self.
“My mission is to change the misperceptions surrounding beauty, and I am thrilled to work with Rosie on this project.” said Yuliya Raquel, IGIGI Designer and Founder. She represents the confident, stylish, curvaceous woman who is beautiful and comfortable in her own skin. She is over society’s restrictions, and she is most definitely sick of the phrase “You have such a beautiful face! If only you lost some weight!” Every woman is already truly beautiful, but many still need to have the right tools to be able to express that. I create my designs to serve as a tool to remind the curvaceous women about the beauty that’s already within them and to help them express it onto the world.”
“I Am Beautiful!” is the third installment to IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel’s original movie series, both also directed by Marc de Paola, “16” which launched a controversial debate about what is considered fat in our society, and “Being you is Being Beautiful”; an engaging artistic display of how radiant one becomes when she is in sync with herself and with her body.

I love it!! Yuliya is an amazing advocate.. Rosie is beautiful as always…
It was about TIME!
I see this and I see so many new clients lining up for Rosie and me and Velvet, etc.
We are the larger ‘Plus’ size models and it just proves what I have been stating from day one.
That there is a market for a size 24 and bigger! It’s not all about the size 12 up to 16.
Thanks for this!
Curvy hugs,
Olga~

Terry,
I love how you are so involved with supporting us.
You are just amazing!
Muah.
WOW!!!!! I’m touched!!!! Really, I am!!! And again, I loved the video, and LOVE those EYES!!!!! Rosie is truly a BEAUTIFUL woman!!!
To see Yuliya speak of the love and admiration she has for plus size women it is so refreshing to know that there are designers that exist and are passionate about making Quality clothing for plus size women. Releasing this video and featuring Rosie was a great move by a great woman with a great appreciation for the women she serves.
True true Steph !
To hear Yuliya speak about why she designs for women with curves empowers you. If you have ever owned one of her pieces you appreciate the craftmanship and attention to detail(like the importance of lining a garment). I just love her!
“Beauty. Authentic.” Point Blank this video speaks for itself and I love it! What makes us beautiful is self-love which radiates from within….and finally designers are stepping outside of the box to accomodate women of all sizes ….”Beauty. Authentic”.
Thank you for posting the film and for taking a stand against size discrimination!
@Tina,
Darling you are very welcome. We as plus size women have to make that extra effort to be at out best and most important be seen and respected for this. People don’t have to like me but they will respect me and see a well put together ,beautiful plus size woman doing it all for myself, my family and every other ‘fat’ girl out there.
Thrive in your CURVES..
Curvy hugs,
Olga
