The Season 11 cast of Dancing With The Stars has been released.
It’s fascinating how the television show that pairs professional dancers with celebrities for a series of competitions has become so popular. The season 11 cast includes athletes, actors, actresses, singers, reality stars and the daughter of a politician.
Each couple will perform Ballroom or Latin dances and compete with the others for judges points and audience votes. Whichever couple receives the lowest total amount of judges points and audience votes is eliminated until a champion is named.
Whenever a new cast is revealed, it’s helpful to know what they have done that makes them a “Star”.
The new cast includes:
{THE MEN}
- Michael Bolton- Singer/songwriter best known for his soft rock ballad and soulful voice.
- Rick Fox- Television actor, retired basketball player and ex-wife of Vanessa Williams.
- David Hasselhoff- Actor and singer, best known for his role in 1980′s sitcom, Knight Rider as Michael Knight.
- Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino- Reality television personality from the MTV hit, Jersey Shore.
- Kurt Warner- Retired NFL quarterback.
- Kyle Massey- Actor best known for his roles as Cory on That’s So Raven and lead character on Cory In the House.
{THE WOMEN}
- Bristol Palin- Second born of former Alaska Governor and Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin.
- Jennifer Grey- Actress best known for her roles of Baby in Dirty Dancing and Jeanie in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
- Margaret Cho- Comedian best known for stand up routines. She is currently apart of the Lifetime break out hit, Drop Dead Diva.
- Audrina Patridge- Reality television star, known for her role on MTV’s, The Hills.
- Brandy- R&B singer/songwriter/producer. Recently seen on her own Reality show, Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business.
- Florence Henderson- Actress, best known for her role of Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch
Season 11 premieres Monday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. All 12 couples will dance either the Viennese Waltz or the Cha Cha and the couple with the lowest scores will be sent home on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. on the results show. Carlos Santana and Daughtry are slated to perform.

Why don’t you do a couples season… Mark & Kelly; Regis & Joy; set them up with seperate then bring them together at the end for a finale!!!
Everyone’s like “Bristol Palin isn’t a star”! True dat, but she does have a baby to support and being on Dancing With the Stars is much more classy than posing for Playboy. This actually looks to be a great season! I’m looking forward to watching Brandy bring it on the dance floor!
