The Carpenter’s Daughter returns to New Zealand Fashion week in 2010 to show the Winter 2011 collection and continue to campaign for women with curves.
New Zealand’s Fashion Week will take place from Tuesday September 21st – Friday September 24th, with Fashion WEEKEND running the evening of Friday September 24th and all day Saturday September 25th.
Specializing in Clothing for Curvy Girls, producing 100% New Zealand Made Clothes in sizes 12-24, The Carpenter’s Daughter has grown from humble beginnings to become a destination fashion label with six stores nationwide.
TCD first appeared during New Zealand Fashion Week in 2009. Since then there has been a shift in the way runways, magazines and fashion designers view plus size fashion on an International level.
For twenty years Caroline Marr has been driven by a passion to see all women be accepted regardless of age and size. Her philosophy is to celebrate the curves of women’s bodies, accentuate the positive, and empower curvy women to hold their heads proudly, and feel worthy of fashion.
The Vision: For the TCD girl to take ownership of who she is, and how she looks. To dress for herself and not others. To stand proud and feel worthy of fashion.
