Christina Hendricks of Mad Men has been named the official spokesmodel for outerwear brand London Fog.
“London Fog is a classic brand, which I love. It also ties into ‘Mad Men’ — we used London Fog in the show and this was a nice way to tie everything together,” Hendricks told Fox News. “The trench is such an iconic shape for men and women. It worked in the 1960s and it works now.”
Previous spokesmodels include Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen, actress Teri Hatcher, actress Eva Longoria, and San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker. The ads featuring Christina will debut in October. They feature the curvy, 35-year-old redhead teasing with a peek of a lacy black bra underneath a black trench and standing on a train platform in a plunging animal-print coat. Other images include her in a classic khaki trench, sporting a little black dress and in a menswear-inspired button-down shirt and tie.
Hendricks will be tapped for the company’s current fall collection campaign. Found in 1923 by Israel Myers, London Fog was once one of the main manufacturers of coats in the US, and made waterproof coats for the US Navy during World War II.
