Deb Malkin has been making waves ever since her phenomenal resale shop in Brooklyn , Re/Dress NYC, first opened its doors. One thing that I know all too well is that shopping for these curves can be pricey!! Thank goodness Re/Dress NYC was there when I needed to snag a halter dress during one of my recent visits to NYC. Retail value was $55, it went home with me for only 12!!
Deb is not only a store owner she is an advocate for size acceptance. I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel along side her during the first ever Full Figured Fashion Week. She passionately provided some insight from her vast experience in the retail industry as to why there is such a disconnect between the needs of the plus size fashionista and the fashion world as a whole.
In the spirit of true advocacy, Deb is hosting a party with a purpose. On September 10, 2010 Deb and the talented team at Re/Dress NYC will be hosting “Fashion’s Night Out” at their store. The event is to raise awareness to the plight of the curvy clothing consumer. Throughout the night guests will have the opportunity to join Re/Dress NYC’s Dress My Size campaign that is designed to help plus size consumers give a collective voice to the fashion industry.
Also during the event designs from Lotis, hailing from Canada, will be presented as one of their partners in the fight. You will also be able to see their latest collection.

Full figured women are awsome, yes fashion for the full figured has come along way but I’m glad it’s hear and the women are speaking up and out! I love what I’m seeing stores now, the quality, style and concepts are very nice. Keep doing it full n fabulous!
