Former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell didn’t think it was a great idea for President Barack Obama to chat up The View ladies.
“I have mixed feelings about that,” said O’Donnell, 48, on her Sirius XM radio show Wednesday, the day before Obama’s episode aired. “I don’t really think sitting presidents should go do fluffy daytime TV shows. Maybe an hour on Oprah or something,” said O’Donnell, adding, “although I’m happy for them. That’s a good booking.”
Sarah Palin also criticized the appearance. On Twitter yesterday, she wrote:
“President w/no time to visit porous US/Mexican border to offer help to those risking life to secure us,but lotso’ time to chat on The View?”

I love Rosie, Palin not so much (unless she’s being impersonated by Tina Fey) but both of them have a biased opinion on either the President or the View.
I love Oprah too but most of her stuff still falls into the “fluffy daytime TV shows” status.
I saw the airing and I was surprised at how well behaved the hosts were (except for Elizabeth who still couldn’t hold back the occasional jibe — which was unfortunate b/c it made her look silly instead of professional).
