Oprah Winfrey and Beyonce has landed at the top of Forbes magazine’s World’s Most Powerful Celebrities annual list, which was compiled from June 2009 to June 2010. The talk show host, who knocked Angelina Jolie off the top spot, managed to score 315 million dollars from her media empire. While the pop icon moved up from the fourth spot after earning 87 million from her entertainment career and clothing empire, Dereon.
Director James Cameron enters the chart at number three with earnings of 210 million dollars following his success with “Avatar”. After her huge success in music industry, Lady Gaga earned 62 million dollars over the last year making her number four on the list and Tiger Woods rounded out the top five.
According to Forbes magazine, the top rankings are based on income over the past 12 months, as well as web references, press clippings, broadcast mentions and major magazine covers devoted to the celebrity.
