THE FFFWEEK FINALE “BODYSTYLE CONVERSATION” FOR RUNWAY CURVES

THIS IS the collection of stylist extraordinaire - SUSAN MOSES COLLECTION AT THE FFFWEEK – She was one of the leading shows in the group – Working with the talented Sunil – formerly a designer for Anne Klein and for the fit and development of the Anne Klein II Collection for plus sizes in 1998 – Also these 2 paired up for Queen Latifah’s collection – a brief life – but super, they worked with Queen as a team for the design & production for the JMS company…. Susan HAS vision, a point of view – She shared with the audience that she was inspired by nightlife in NYC….Great job! BTW – When you are looking at her show check the runway pics for Biggest Loser Diva Carla Triplett & Supermodel Anjellika Morton along with the redhead bombshell model from Wilhelmina Models – BERNADETT & of course the host of the evening - Also walking the catwalk just for Susan - Author, Speaker and all around Body-Image cheerleader – Plus- supermodel EMME!!!

I think we love that every dress and wedding gown celebrates our curves! Lots of boldness, pattern mixing, great workmanship and lots of saturated color – All starting at a size 12W….Smart lady with a smart team coming out of San Fran!

The next collection that caught my eye was that of Qristyl Frazier & she was also given the Fashion Plus Designer of the year

This new player in the curvy plus size world of fashion was a very wearable collection that’s from Canada…LOTIS

FInally, I love seeing the women happy and walking the runways, but I still pine for the day those of us can pick up the gauntlet and take the size 12W and up models tot he NYC Tents – now moved into Lincoln Center for the next season. I still want FASHION! Like Susan Moses and I have discussed for eons – to see a runway show with women in designer gear – What about Anna Scholz, Rachel Pally, some of the contemporary design house that have been cutting up since 1995 – LAUREN Ralph Lauren, Anne Klein II, Tadashi, Carmen Marc Valvo, DKNY, David Meister, Melissa Massey Dresses – those that have been playing in this 62% and up population arena the past 10 years as well: Calvin Klein Dresses, MICHAEL Michael Kors, now Tahari has opened the floodgates from JUST suits to contemporary pieces as well for us!!! What’s to come anything we can envision, this I believe – SO who’s on board!? It takes a village – remember that! After all – if Marina Rinaldi and Elena Miro in Italy, Givenchy and Ferre in Paris as well as companies like Simply Be, EvansLondon from Arcadia Group in London can do it…so can we Americans!
