Finding an article giving you advice on the importance of a good fitting bra and how an ill-fitting bra can ruin your outfit isn’t hard to find. But as plus size women finding the perfect place to buy a brassiere can be challenging.
There are a number of great online resources available but one of my favorites is BeautyPlusPower.com. This site covers all of your fashion needs including places to find brassieres with your curves in mind. There are a number of places that they recommend but we are going to highlight a few of them for you today.
About Curves:
About Curves is a plus size lingerie website with a great selection of babydolls, chemises, gown, bustiers, teddies, costumes, sleepwear sets and more. They even sell extras like high heels, stockings and body butter. Easy to use and good production selection.
Huge selection of brassieres, panties, and lingerie. We recommend this site primarily for its bras. They have one of the best search features we have ever seen; you can search by size, brand, or price point.
Her Room is a great resource for large sized bras, as well as shapers and panties. You can search for bras by size, so we typed in the fairly large size 42F to see what would happen, and the search engine gave us 4 pages of bras in that size! Their panties only come up to a size 3X, but they have body shapers up to size 8X. They have a section called “Oprah’s Favorites” so maybe she has talked about them on her show. This site is also designed really well, both in visuals and user friendliness.
Exclusively an e-tailer for plus lingerie. The site is nicely designed, easy to navigate and has a good selection. They give detailed item descriptions and even make suggestions. They have one of the better bridal lingerie sections we have seen. They have a lot of costumes, including some in vinyl.
Tremendous selection featured on this site. In the plus size section there are almost 20 pages of merchandise. You can search for bras by size. They stock many lines of merchandise including Playtex, Wacoal and Natori. They also sell quality hosiery from the likes of Calvin Klein and Givenchy.
