With grey’s, tans and khaki’s stepping up as Spring 2010 trends, it’s obvious that Neutrals are the new Black. Curvy style expert Michele Weston gave some great tips while appearing on ABC Chicago yesterday.
- Mix up the neutrals with different shades, she adds. Search out modern khaki, cotton and chino fabrics that are in shades of sand, white, ivory, tans and grey.
- Don’t play hide and seek with your curves. Instead look for silhouettes in trousers and jackets that have great fit and structure.
- Give “new” neautrals a try. “You’ll be surprised what giving a try a lighter and more medium neutral tones could do for your wardrobe!”
Some of Michele’s favorite brands range from size 12 and up. Check out: Avenue stores www.avenue.com ; LandsEnd.com www.landsend.com (also available at Sears) for their Canvas Collection as well as the classic chinos; Lauren by Ralph Lauren for African-inspired in Khakis and also BandLu.com www.bandlu.com for feminine touches in tee’s.
