When searching for enjoyable activities to do during your spring break, the possibilities might seem limited if you are not able to travel out of town. Even if your family is not able to take a weeklong vacation this year, there are still quite a few adventures you can have around your city.
Sleepover
PJ parties still rock the house! Get ready for popcorn, DVDs, pillow fights and lots of gossip. No matter what age you are, sleepovers are always a hit!
Be A Mallrat
Have a girl’s day at the mall. Try on tons of clothes and check out all the latest beauty products – some places even give free make-overs. If you’re cash-strapped, head to your local thrift shop and amaze your friends with your cheap finds.
Have A Gaming Party
Go and catch one of the latest movies. Whether it’s The Spiderwick Chronicles, Be Kind, Rewind, or 27 Dresses, spring break is a great time to head to the theater and catch a cheap matinee.

Plan a crafts day. Drag out the paint, glue and glitter and get as messy as you want. Make picture frames, jewelry or anything else your heart desires.
Inside Fun
Spend a day at the museum, planetarium or even a space center. Learn not only about the sun, moon and stars, but also about communication satellites, space shuttles and astronaut missions. Check out www.nasa.gov for info on space centers around the world.

Check out what’s happening at your community center during spring break. From dances to sports, it’s the place to be. Many community centers have schedules you can pick up ahead of time telling you all about the events planned for that month. Sign up for classes early as they often get filled up. Plus, they’ll usually have some cool volunteer opportunities that you might wanna add to your resume.
Hit The Slopes
