Size: The sizes a store goes up to is very important.  Some plus size stores go to a size 26 while others go to a size 32.  If you decide to shop at a department store, knowing what sizes they carry and where your size is located will keep you from getting frustrated.   Because our shapes vary, what works for one plus size diva may not work for you. 

Function: It’s important to keep in mind when and where you will be wearing the majority of your clothing. If you spend most of your time at work you may want to shop at stores that carry a wide range of clothing instead of shopping at a trendier store.   

Cost: The amount that you’re willing to spend should always be taken into account. The cost of a particular garment is often a deciding factor and although things go on sale, why torture yourself by constantly visiting a store that is not within your budget. 

Location:  It’s so important to take location into consideration.   Clothing stores are located all across the county and even some are located in small cities and towns. However, if you live in a smaller town, you may not be able to find some of the more trendy pieces you’re looking for. 

Return Policy:  This is especially important if you’re shopping at boutiques.  Many specialty boutiques have a no return policy and only accept exchanges.  If there is an item that you must have at a specialty boutique, make sure you try it on first to avoid being irritated later because it doesn’t fit and they don’t

The most important thing to do is research.  Research online retailers and retailers near you.  Before you decide to spend your hard earned money and show your loyalty to a store make sure they meet all of your needs and requirements.
