Boy oh Boy. To be a full figured woman working in such a critical industry has to take a toll on you. Once again, as I’m sure you’ve all heard, last week Gabby Sidibe took a hit from radio shock jock Howard Stern who “cautioned” her to lose weight, for health reasons but of course. *side eye* Then there was the weight loss gimmick diet, Acai Supply, who offered Gabby a years supply free if she took the product and lost weight. I mean seriously, if Gabby decided that she, herself, wanted to lose weight for whatever the reason may be, I’d totally support her decision. I do not, however, support these people pressuring her into fitting into the waif thin Hollywood stereotypes! It’s upsetting.
Now, Jamie Foxx, who I so happily posted about last week when he confessed his love for thicker women, has joined in the weight game as well. Jamie, being the comedian that he is, has a comical perspective on the topic of Gabby’s weight.

I heard that Foxxhole radio episode, and I did laugh at that joke. I thought Jamie’s impression of Mo’Nique in the movie was really funny but I did feel guilty about how they teases Gabby. She’s big but I don’t think she looks like Biggie Smalls.

IT’S SO VERY WRONG TO MAKE HURTFUL JOKES ABOUT PEOPLE REGARDING SOMETHING THEY MAY BE VERY SENSITIVE ABOUT OR SELF-CONCIOUS ABOUT FOR THE EXTRA JOKE VALUE.ESPECIALLY ONE REGARDING A WOMAN WHO LOOKS LIKE AN OVER-WEIGHT, DEAD MAN. WOMEN LOVE TO BE TOLD THAT THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL…EVERY SINGLE WOMAN!! WHETHER SHE IS FAT , THIN, TALL, SHORT, RED OR YELLOW. WOMEN INDULGE IN THE EUPHORIA WHICH THE WORD “BEAUTIFUL” CREATES FOR THEM..DISCUSSING HER LIKE THAT IN A PUBLIC AND INFORMAL FORUM IS INSENSITIVE..REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT HE LIKES “THICK WOMEN”.
