Kirstie Alley struggled to fight back tears, while filming new reality show Kirstie Alley’s ‘Big Life’, when producers organised a surprise reunion with her ‘Look Who’s Talking’ co-star John Travolta.
The former Cheers actress has been documenting her latest weight battle for TV cameras and she reached out to old pal Travolta to make a cameo appearance on her birthday episode – filmed when she turned 59 on January 5, 2010.
Travolta was forced to pull out of the planned visit at the last minute, but the Pulp Fiction star made sure to make it up to Alley by reorganising another set visit behind her back. And the reunion reduced Alley to tears.
The insider adds, “Her eyes welled with tears. When he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, Kirstie melted.
“She was so choked up, she couldn’t even speak. There wasn’t a dry eye on set.”
Kirstie Alley’s Big Life debuts on U.S. TV on March 21st and Travolta’s cameo is expected to be aired April 10th.
