We’re only in the 2nd month of the year and Queen Latifah is already dominating 2010. From hosting the People’s Choice Awards to being a BET Honoree, it is definitely the year of the “Queen”.
Queen Latifah has been tapped to sing “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl XLIV pregame festivities. The Grammy Award winners’ performance will be televised live from Sun Life Stadium on February 7.
Latifah follows a few artists who were asked to perform the patriotic song: Vicki Carr (Super Bowl XI), Ray Charles (Super Bowl XXXV), Mary J. Blige and Marc Anthony (Super Bowl XXXVI), Alicia Keys (Super Bowl XXXIX), and Faith Hill (Super Bowl XLIII).
