Mark Fast Puts Plus Models First During London Fashion Week

Over the weekend Plus-size models took to the London catwalk wearing the latest collection from British knitwear designer, Mark Fast. Unlike many in attendance during New York fashion week, Fast has no problem using Plus-size models.

Not long ago, Fast found himself at the center of a dispute during London Fashion Week in September, when a stylist refused to work with him due to his use of larger models on the catwalk.

Model Hayley Morley, a British size 12 (European size 40, US size 10) was one of the models to walk the catwalk on Saturday.

The issue of fashion models’ weight, continues to be a hot topic in New York with Canadian model Coco Rocha recently being criticized for her size 4 frame instead of the size 0 standard.

It’s obvious that Mark Fast is not concerned with the opinions of his peers as he continues to add diversity to his shows by using models that many in the fashion industry aren’t brave enough to use.
