Last night the 52nd Grammy Awards aired. The night was filled with many highlights and low lights.
- Lady Gaga sets the bar high as she performed with Elton John during the opening.
- Beyonce made history as the only woman to win 6 Grammy’s in one night. Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse & Allison Krauss all won 5 in one night.
- Taylor Swift had a great night also as she won Album Of the Year. She appeared genuinely happy and in shock.
- Mary J. Blige & Andre Bocelli were brilliant as they performed Bridge Over Troubled Water.
- The hyped up tribute to Michael Jackson was extremely classy and showcased the voices of Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Celine Dion & Carrie Underwood.
- Could have done without the “Pant’s on the Ground” like performance of Lil Wayne, Eminem & Drake.
- While Pink’s Performance was enjoyable, the circus act distracted me from the song.
Overall, the Grammy’s was filled with a couples of oohs, ahhs, and noos. Music fans from all genres got to see some of their favorite artists display their talents for the world to see.
I wonder who will be nominated for next year’s awards or is it too soon to talk about that?
