Amber Riley has revealed plans to pursue a music career when Glee finishes.
The 23-year-old actress, who stars as Mercedes Jones on the Fox series, said that she has always dreamed of being a singer.
When asked if she planned on pursuing a singing career, her reply was, “Yeah, that’s the plan! That’s been the plan since I’ve been – well, I wanted to record an album when I was like 5.
“I’ve always loved singing and acting equally and I was like, ‘Well, whichever one takes off first, I’m sure the other one will follow!’ It’s cool because I get to do both and I love them both equally – I can’t even pick one!”
Riley went on to admit that she wasn’t part of a glee club at high school, but that she would “definitely” join one if she were back in school.
