Every year I know we all struggle to find the perfect gift for our loved ones. Finding something for those that have everything can be challenging. With the harsh economic times, it may be difficult to find something that fits your budget. This year try to give something from your heart and theirs! How about donating to their favorite charity in their name or together volunteer at a soup kitchen? This is prime time to give to someone less fortunate. Here are a few ways that you can chose to make a difference:
- Cleaning out your closet and want to give some fab pieces to someone special? Give them to the women that benefit from the work of Dress to Success.
- Donate your holiday dresses to The Pretty Girl Prom Project, a non-profit organization that wants to gift over 50 girls with prom dresses and accessories.
- Freecycle is a great organization with branches all over the country. It is largely an online community that links you to people in your area that have things to give away for free and people who are looking for items they need at no cost.
- Volunteermatch is a great way to find volunteer opportunities in your city or virtually anywhere in the country!
