Daily Venus Diva: Plus Event Of The Year

This year the plus size community made history by hosting events, fashion shows and dedicating special days to the celebration of the plus size woman and her curves. There were so many events held this year and as we get ready to celebrate the strides we made, take some time to read about these events and vote on what you feel is the Plus Size Event of the year.
The Fuller Woman Expo
Held in both Detroit, MI and Canada this event made history as the first international Expo that celebrates plus size women. Founded by Georgia Greenwood the mission of the Fuller Woman Expo is to empower the plus size woman to embrace her inner and outer beauty.
Love Your Body Day
The day that was started by the National Organization of Women (NOW) was brought to life by plus size advocate Chenese Lewis. It was held in Hollywood, CA and consisted of vendors, entertainment and a “real woman” fashion show. Love Your Body Day was a festive celebration honoring women everywhere.
Full Figured Fashion Week
Created as a partnership of independent fashion designers, retailers, event producers, models and plus industry businesses, Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFWeek) was created by Gwen Devoe to increase economic development in the area of plus size fashion design, clothing merchandising and plus modeling.
