With talks of changing Barbie’s Cankles to Ankles by shoe designer Louboutin and so much attention being directed towards accepting all forms of beauty especially those considered “Plus Size”, the image of Barbie which we’ve come to love over the years is being questioned.
While Louboutin is looking at Barbie negatively and plans to make women even more self conscience by making her ankles even smaller, one designer is trying to make Barbie resemble the masses. Artist Loanne Hizo Ostlie has made it her mission to make Barbie and her friends a reflection of the little girls who have grown up adoring Barbie.
