Daily Venus Diva Community Member Jazi101 recently raised a question: How Would You Handle Unkind Words or Someone Just Not Thinking?
If something bothers you then say something. If it doesn’t then just make a mental note. Just make sure you say what you have to say to the people you have to say it to so that later down the road you don’t regret not saying anything. Insignificant people aren’t worth your time, words, nor energy.
Many of my friends hate (some love) the fact that I say what I feel because I refuse to let those closest to me get away with offending/hurting me whether they did it knowingly or not. Over the years I’ve learned (& still working on) how to speak my mind without being confrontational. Being confrontational can turn small issues into bigger issues. Unfortunately, instead of saying things to my face others complain about me behind my back. What they fail to realize is a friend that can tell you that you’re wrong is a keeper. The friends that say nothing and allow you to walk around in ignorance by not letting you know of your offending ways are the friends you should be weary of. It’s okay for friends to point out flaws, just make sure it’s done in a non-confrontational way. Ultimately it’s up to the person if they want to do or say anything about it.
