Let’s have some fun. Supposing you had an unlimited budget to spend on your wardrobe this fall. How would you update your wardrobe?
You’d want to dress in styles that are current, yet appropriate for both your personality and the situation for which you are dressing (for example, clothes to wear to the office will be very different from clothing to wear on a date). You’d want to wear apparel that is flattering. Comfort is another consideration. And you’d want well-constructed garments made of quality materials. You’d want to look great and feel your best.
There are all manner of lists of top trends for fall 2009, and not all fashionistas agree upon which trends are the definitive style-makers of the season. When considering trends, it is critical to look beyond your favorite plus size fashion providers, to the bigger picture of what popular designers, fashion magazines and upscale retailers are showing for the upcoming season. Once you have a good understanding of the trends being marketed to, and embraced by, those on the cutting edge of style, whether with or without budgetary considerations, then you can then evaluate which of the trends interest and suit you.
Of course, not all trends suit all people, either from the standpoint of style personality preferences, or because, frankly, the design isn’t suited to a particular person’s form.
